St. Patrick’s offers a variety of programs for adults to deepen the knowledge of the faith.
We will have the following speakers to discuss prayer in our life:
The Year of Faith was launched to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the opening of the second Vatican Council “the great grace bestowed on the Church in the twentieth century.” The documents of the council have been and continue to be a guiding compass for the ever necessary renewal of the Church.
The Holyoke, South Hadley and Granby parishes have invited Frs. Mark Stelzer and Warren Savage of the Elms College to speak. The Pope John Paul II Social Center at Mater Dolorosa School will host us.
Fr. Mark Stelzer spoke on Wednesday, Sept. 25th at 7pm on Vatican II- The Teaching & Message.
Fr. Warren Savage spoke on Wednesday, October 9th at 7pm on Vatican – How It Made a Difference.
St. Patrick’s Book Club meets periodically in the chapel for a discussion on books related to faith and life. The Book Club meets next on Tuesday, December 3rd at 10:30am to discuss The Gifts of Years: Growing Old Gracefully by Sr. Joan Chittister.
Our Bible Study will begin at St. Patrick’s on Monday, October 7th at 9am & 7pm. Both sessions will be the same. You may attend either. No preparation is necessary. The first series will go for six weeks. All are welcome.
